A single-ingredient serum: 100% Volufiline, used undiluted rather than blended into a wider formula. Sederma, the French ingredient house that patented Volufiline in 2008, developed it from hydrogenated polyisobutene and Anemarrhena asphodeloides root extract, formulated to encourage the fat cells in a treated area to plump up for a fuller, firmer look. Fragrance-free, alcohol-free, no essential oils added. Comes in a 10ml bottle.
Behind the claim
The only published trial behind that claim is Sederma's own: 28 women, unblinded, and it measured breast tissue rather than facial skin, an average 2.2% volume increase over about two months. We won't call that clinically proven for your face, because it wasn't tested on one.
